Hand-cast pewter Lunula pendant with turquoise hot enamel inspired by early medieval crescent jewelry.
This Lunula pendant follows early medieval crescent designs worn across Viking and Slavic regions from the 10th to 12th centuries. The crescent shape appears frequently in archaeological material and reflects the everyday jewelry traditions of Northern and Eastern Europe.
The pendant is hand-cast in pewter using the traditional beeswax casting method. Turquoise hot enamel is applied by hand and fired at high temperature, creating a strong, glass-like surface fused to the metal.
The softer silver tone of pewter combined with turquoise enamel gives the piece a calm, balanced appearance while remaining faithful to early medieval aesthetics. Each pendant shows slight natural variation as a result of hand casting and enameling.
