Hand-cast brass Lunula pendant with red hot enamel inspired by early medieval Slavic and Viking jewelry.
This Lunula pendant follows early medieval crescent forms widely worn across Slavic and Viking regions between the 10th and 12th centuries. Crescent pendants of this type are well known from archaeological finds and were commonly used as personal ornaments.
The pendant is hand-cast in solid brass using the traditional beeswax (lost-wax) casting method. After casting, real red hot enamel is applied by hand and fired at high temperature. This process bonds the enamel directly to the metal, creating a durable, glass-like surface rather than a surface coating.
The compact proportions and restrained design stay close to historical originals while remaining comfortable for everyday wear. As with all hand-cast and hot-enameled pieces, small variations in color depth and surface texture are natural and expected.
