Hand-cast brass Viking shield pendant with runes and red enamel.
This Viking shield pendant follows early medieval round shield forms and includes runes set into four enamelled fields. Shields were central objects in Viking life, used in travel, defense, and ritual display.
The pendant is cast in solid brass using traditional beeswax casting and finished with red enamel applied by hand. The deep red tone provides contrast while preserving a restrained, period-inspired appearance.
Natural variations in surface and enamel are part of the handcraft process.
