Hand-cast brass shield pendant with runes and green enamel inspired by Viking Age forms.

This Viking shield pendant is based on early medieval round shields and features runes set into four enamelled sections. Such shield forms appear widely in Scandinavian material culture, where shields served both practical and symbolic roles.

The pendant is hand-cast in solid brass using the beeswax (lost-wax) casting method and finished with green enamel applied by hand. The enamel adds a restrained color accent while keeping the form close to early medieval proportions.

Each pendant shows small variations from the casting and enameling process, giving every piece its own character.
