This pendant is built around the Tryzub, the long-standing symbol of Ukraine. The form comes from the Rurikid (Viking) period and has been part of Ukrainian identity for over a thousand years.
What makes this piece different is the material. The brass comes from spent military cartridges, collected and recast. It carries visible traces of reuse - slight variations in tone, small marks from casting - nothing polished away completely.
The piece is made using a lost-wax process, a technique that has been used for centuries. The shape is clean and recognisable, with some details influenced by early northern metalwork styles.
It’s a solid pendant with some weight to it. Works as a standalone piece or layered with others.
Surface marks, colour variation, and small irregularities are part of the material and hand-casting process.
About the Design
The Tryzub originates from the ruling symbols of Kyivan Rus and remains the national emblem of Ukraine. Recasting battlefield brass into jewellery is a recent practice, turning material from conflict into something personal and lasting.
