About the Design
The pendant combines two animals frequently present in Viking Age visual culture: the raven and the wolf. Both appear in Scandinavian metalwork, carving, and ornament, often rendered in stylised, elongated forms rather than naturalistic detail.
The carving follows the natural grain and curvature of moose antler, allowing the material to guide the final shape. Variations in colour, density, and surface marks are inherent to antler and make each pendant visually distinct while remaining consistent in overall form and scale.
