About the Design
Ravens played an important role in Norse mythology and Viking Age culture. Odin, the chief god in Norse tradition, was accompanied by two ravens, Huginn (Thought) and Muninn (Memory), who travelled across the world and returned with news.
Ravens were associated with Odin, battle and knowledge, appearing in Scandinavian art and historical symbolism.
The skull design is a modern interpretation of these traditions rather than a reproduction of a specific archaeological artefact. Natural buffalo horn gives each pendant slightly different colouring and texture, while the stone eyes add a distinctive detail.
