Ouroboros Brass Pendant – Hand-Cast Serpent Amulet

Inspired by Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent

This Ouroboros pendant is handmade and cast in solid brass using traditional casting methods. The design depicts the ancient symbol of a serpent consuming its own tail - a motif known across many cultures for thousands of years.

In Norse mythology, a closely related image appears in the form of Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent, who encircles the world and bites its own tail in the ocean surrounding Midgard. This image strongly echoes the symbolic idea of a circular, self-contained world.

The Ouroboros itself is widely interpreted as a representation of the cycle of life, transformation, and the continuous nature of existence.

Each piece is individually hand-cast and hand-finished, which means slight variations in surface texture and patina may appear. These small differences are part of the character of handmade metalwork.
