Loki Amulet – Viking Age Mask Pendant (Hand-Cast Replica)
This hand-cast amulet is inspired by early Viking Age mask pendants from the 9th–10th century, traditionally associated with the figure of Loki — the shape-shifter, trickster, and master of transformation in Norse mythology.
Loki was not a god of comfort, but of change. In the sagas, he embodies intelligence, adaptability, and the courage to walk into the unknown. The compact geometric form of this pendant reflects the stylistic language of early Norse bronze amulets, where masks symbolized both protection and the hidden nature of the self.
Each pendant is created using the traditional lost-wax casting technique. The process begins with a hand-sculpted beeswax model, followed by casting and careful hand-finishing to preserve a natural, historically authentic surface.
The brass version is cast from reclaimed military cartridges, adding an additional layer of meaning — transformation, rebirth, and the reshaping of conflict into art. A silver version is available upon request.
With its solid weight and balanced proportions, this amulet is suitable for daily wear or as part of a serious historical-inspired collection.
