Bone Mjolnir Pendant – Hand-Carved Viking Thor’s Hammer

Hand-carved bone Mjolnir with protective runes on one side and knotwork on the other, inspired by Viking Age amulets.

This Mjolnir pendant is hand-carved from natural cattle bone and shaped after early Viking Age Thor’s Hammer amulets. The form is simple and solid, reflecting designs meant to be worn daily rather than displayed.

One side of the pendant features runes carved vertically along the hammer shaft. The reverse side is decorated with a traditional knotwork motif. Both sides are shown in the photo — this is one pendant, carved and finished by hand.

Bone was a common and accessible material in the Viking world. It was used for tools, personal objects, and small amulets, valued for its durability and warm, natural feel. Each pendant shows slight variations in surface tone and carving depth, which is normal for hand-worked bone.

The pendant comes ready to wear on an adjustable black waxed cotton cord.
