This cross follows the form of body crosses worn in the Kyivan Rus period. The shape is compact and balanced, with proportions close to known medieval examples.

It is cast in brass reclaimed from military cartridges, then finished by hand. Blue and yellow enamel is applied on both sides, giving a clear colour contrast while keeping the metal visible around the edges and details.

The surface is not fully uniform — slight variation in tone and enamel fill is part of the process. The piece has a solid feel without being too heavy and sits flat when worn.

About the Design
Body crosses were widely used across Kyivan Rus and the Byzantine world between the 10th and 14th centuries. This version keeps the historical form, with a modern reference through the blue and yellow enamel.
