Dragon Fang Bone Pendant with Ansuz Rune – Hand-Carved Norse Amulet (c. 4 cm)
This hand-carved bone pendant is shaped in a fang-like form inspired by early Norse warrior amulets and features the Ansuz rune on the reverse, a symbol traditionally associated with Odin, speech, wisdom, and divine guidance in early Germanic runic tradition.
The pendant is carved from natural, ethically sourced cattle bone, giving it the smooth surface and warm ivory tone characteristic of early organic artifacts. Such fang-shaped amulets were worn as protective charms, symbols of strength, and personal talismans among Viking Age warriors and travelers.
The design incorporates elements of the Borre style, a decorative tradition of the 9th–10th centuries known for its compact interlace patterns and balanced geometric motifs. The tapered fang form and single carved rune offer a restrained, historically grounded interpretation of Norse protective jewelry.
Each piece is individually carved and polished by hand, resulting in subtle natural variations in color, grain, and detail. The pendant is lightweight and comfortable for daily wear, with an adjustable cord included.
For long-term preservation, avoid prolonged moisture, heat, direct sunlight, and harsh chemicals.
