About the Design

This armring takes inspiration from oath rings discovered in Gotland, Sweden, dating to the Viking Age. Such bracelets are often linked to personal loyalty, social standing, and ceremonial gift-giving in Norse culture. The wolf head ends are inspired by Odin’s wolves and add a distinctive mythological element to the design.

The woven pewter construction gives the bracelet a balanced weight and a traditional appearance, while allowing it to develop character and patina with wear over time.
