About the Design

The design is based on Freyja, a goddess in Norse mythology associated with love, war, and independence. In Old Norse sources, she is described as choosing half of the fallen warriors, who go to her field Fólkvangr, while the other half go to Odin.

Freyja is also linked with symbols such as her falcon-feather cloak and a chariot drawn by cats. These elements appear in later retellings and interpretations of Norse myth.

The design references her role as a figure connected with both conflict and personal agency in early Scandinavian literature.
