About the Design
The pendant combines two animals commonly found in Viking Age visual language: the dragon and the raven. Dragons appear in Scandinavian art as protective or boundary-marking figures, often carved in a restrained, linear manner rather than as narrative creatures. Ravens are frequent in Viking ornamentation and are associated with observation, movement, and memory.
The carving is intentionally compact and grounded, following the natural curves of the antler rather than forcing symmetry. Each pendant differs slightly in tone and texture, giving the piece a warm, organic presence that sits comfortably when worn.
Perfect For:
Lovers of Viking and Icelandic symbolism, followers of pagan or spiritual traditions, collectors of natural bone and antler jewellery, and anyone seeking a meaningful handmade talisman with roots in Norse culture.
