Shieldmaiden-Inspired Viking Amulet Made from Recycled Brass in Ukraine

This handcrafted miniature Mjolnir pendant is cast in solid brass and finished with real red enamel. Inspired by the Viking Age and traditional Norse designs, the pendant reflects the protective strength and symbolism of Thor’s hammer in a compact, wearable form.

The material used is brass recycled from spent cartridges collected in Sumy, Ukraine, during the 2022 defense of the region. Artisans use the lost wax casting method, a technique known since Viking times, where each pendant is individually sculpted in beeswax, cast, and hand-polished. The result is a detailed and durable historical replica with symbolic significance.
