Shieldmaiden-Inspired Viking Amulet — Recycled Brass, Hand-Cast in Ukraine

This small Mjolnir pendant is made in our workshop in Ukraine from solid brass with a drop of red enamel. The shape follows early Viking pieces, but we kept the size compact so it’s easy to wear every day.

The brass has its own story. It comes from spent cartridges gathered in Sumy during the 2022 defense. We melt the metal down and give it a new purpose. Every pendant starts as a beeswax model shaped by hand, then cast using the old lost-wax method. After casting, each piece is polished and finished individually, so they all have slight differences and small signs of handwork.

Symbol & Inspiration

Mjolnir has always represented protection in Norse tradition. We made this version with shieldmaidens in mind — something modest in size, but with a clear meaning for the person who wears it.

The red enamel gives the pendant a small accent, and the recycled brass adds a modern story: metal once used in conflict turned into a piece connected to heritage and strength.

Historical Note

In the old myths, Mjolnir was forged by the dwarven brothers Brokk and Sindri. Because of Loki’s interference, the handle ended up shorter than planned, but the hammer still became the greatest treasure of the gods. Later stories describe it as being born from a star or shaped from the force of a storm.
